Psychotherapy
I provide individual therapy to children and adolescents. In many cases, I also provide family therapy or parent guidance sessions as a complement to this individual work.
Consultation
I regularly consult with other healthcare providers and school personnel involved in the care of my patients. I offer classroom observations, advocacy during IEP/Section 504 meetings, and assistance with treatment planning. In some cases, I am hired by school systems to consult directly with teachers and staff who are involved with my patients.
House Calls
I provide house calls on a limited basis when they are clinically indicated. I offer house calls when a child is in serious need of mental health treatment but refuses to attend the initial office visit or when a child is homebound due to a disability. I am generally not able to provide house calls on an ongoing basis.
Pro Bono
I am partnering with A Home Within to provide no-cost long-term psychotherapy to children who have spent time in foster care. Social workers and other interested parties may contact me directly to inquire about my present availability for this work. For more information please visit: www.ahomewithin.org
Fees & Insurance
The fee for standard therapy sessions (50-55 minutes) is $200. The fee for the initial intake is $300. Brief psychological tests and other assessments are often used to achieve an accurate diagnosis and are billed separately.
I am no longer an in-network provider with insurance companies as of January 1, 2023. However, many local plans offer out-of-network mental health benefits and patients are able to obtain reimbursement with the monthly statement I provide. Please contact your insurance carrier for more information.
Under the No Surprises Act of 2021, individuals who are paying out of pocket for services are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of treatment. A Good Faith Estimate will be provided following the initial appointment.
